Rotoreliefs series were presented in 1935 Paris "salon des inventions". Marcel Duchamp designed almost 500 sets of 6 coloured disks that were to be placed in a gramophone, provoking an optical illusion and suggesting throught the circular rotation of the gramophone an idea of depth.links
